İğneada Longoz - Oak Honey

Oak honey is a type of honey that is produced less than other honeys and uniquely produced in iğneada floodplain ecosystem. It is a dark-colored honey obtained in certain periods of August. 

Oak honey is rich in phenolic compounds and has a high biological active value, also rich in antioxidants and Iron.

Phenolic compounds transfer the taste of bees from the oak tree to honey, creating a unique sometimes bitter taste and sometimes a forest smell of honey. Oak honey is a complete winter taste. It prepares the human body for winter with its smell and color.
